snail mailing to stamp people

I love the rebelliousness of snail mail, and I love anything that can arrive with a postage stamp.
There's something about that person's breath and hands on the letter.
Diane Lane

The Three Muses theme for this week is STAMP PEOPLE. Here it is my attempt.

Thanks to Studio Manu, Kim Klassen, Ella Fitzgerald, Hattie McDaniel, Frank Sinatra, Rita Hayworth, Nicole Kidman and Lucille Ball.

Be like a postage stamp. Stick to one thing until you get there.
Josh Billing

The challenge in The Three Muses is POSTAGE STAMPS. I've made each one of these stamps by recycling a digital collage I've previously created for Digitalmania

Postcard to Cláudia

Hi! This week Take a Word asked for Mail Art and I grabbed the chance to say happy birthday to my dearest friend who lives in the most beautiful city in the world, unfortunately very far from me...

Good Wine

Walmor Chagas

Hi, guys! This week the theme is WRINKLES in Take a Word. When I saw this theme it came to my mind Brazilian actor and director Walmor Chagas, who (probably) took his own life this week at age 82. He was a very beautiful talented artist who had been living alone on a farm the last 20 years. I wonder if aging is harder for these people who earn their living in front of the limelight.

“Wisdom doesn't automatically come with old age. Nothing does - except wrinkles. It's true, some wines improve with age. But only if the grapes were good in the first place.” ― Abigail Van Buren

Thanks to Astros em Revista (photos) and Tigers Stock (envelope).

Oi, pessoal! Esta semana o tema é RUGAS no Take a Word. Quando vi esse tema veio à minha mente o querido Walmor Chagas. Eu me pergunto se o envelhecimento é mais difícil para essas pessoas que ganham a vida na frente dos holofotes.

My bird stamp album page

I hope you love birds too. It is economical. It saves going to heaven.
Emily Dickinson

I wasn't going to do anything like this, but I couldn't chose my favorite bird stamp... Then, I decided to post all of them (or at least all those I was able to tuck in my page).  This stamp album page is my contribution to this week challenge in The Three Muses: POSTAGE STAMPS.

Mail art: tulips

Hi! This is my contribution to The Three Muses Challenge: Mail art.

I haven't been around 'cause I'm working on this essay I have to write in order to get my specialization degree. Truth is: not finished my essay, nor did my digitals (Gosh, I'm so screwed...).

Tulips: Freubels Freebies; trees: zeldona (deviant art).

Short letter for a long time friend

This week the theme is MAIL ART at The Three Muses. I am a very lazy friend and I took this opportunity to apologize to my dearest friend, Cláudia. I hope she's not mad at me because of this.

Flowers: Graphics Fairy and Dover, Background: kitten chan (deviantArt); Texture: Princess of Shadows (deviantArt).

Mail Art: Botanical

Here it is my contribution to this week challenge at Take a Word: Botanical.

I had this beautiful scans of a philatelic collection. The entire collection is about plants (you can reach it here) and I was craving to use some of it. I mixed them up with this lovely Tiziano painting (Flora - 1517), a gorgeous Beth Rimmer's background and voilà!

Letter to Granny

This is my contribution to this week Soartful (angels) and Take a Word (mail) challenges.

I've made it simple, as it was my grandmother. It's adressed in the brazilian way, it means that sender's name and adress go at the back of the envelope;

Angels at the background was given by Jeannete; other two angels are dover's samples. Envelope was used in Brazil in the past for international mail; stamp and postmark are brazilian postal service special edition for 2010 Christmas.
