Fading colors of the past
Hello, friends. The Three Muses asked for something VINTAGE. I did a remake of this collage, which I never liked much. I like the new version more. Hope you enjoy it too.
Thanks to Beth Rimmer (some elements) and Kim Klassen (textures). Background is a photo of mine.
Olá, amigos. As três musas pediram algo VINTAGE. Fiz uma releitura desta colagem, da qual nunca gostei muito - achava muito poluída. Da nova versão gosto mais. Espero que você também goste.

This is indeed more magical makeover Christine !! Very well done !!
ResponderExcluirI also use often a texture at the top of my layers. It integrates the individual elements better together don't you think too ?
Forgot to say that it's very nice done that the blue color of the sea also displays !!
ResponderExcluirThe vintage bath scenery is amazing, love the turquoise blue sea.
ResponderExcluirWhat lovely Bathing Beauties.
ResponderExcluirBut, I have a question, how does one swim in ballet shoes? on point?:)
This is great Chris I like the effects you have used on this with color in the center...it's like the past into the present...beautiful work!
ResponderExcluirThe sepia and the blue centre - perfect vintage piece, Christine!
ResponderExcluirThis is awesome. Your artwork is absolutely gorgeous and beautifully created.
ResponderExcluirFantastic! I love this vintage beach scene- a gorgeous sepia hued collage Christine!
ResponderExcluirChristine!~ This is drop dead gorgeous. I can't tell you how much I love the soft and sightly grungy vintage touch which looks so authentic. The fact that you used your own photograph is amazing because you have obviously been able to alter it from a modern print to something that looks so old and worn. Fantastic.
ResponderExcluirThis is delightful, well done.Cheers
ResponderExcluirlike coming out of an old photo box, bravo!
ResponderExcluirThis looks really like an old faded photo that had been forgotten in a drawer! fantastic work! xx
ResponderExcluirbeautiful , great textures and love how you kept the middle bluish

ResponderExcluirTruly, an amazing improvement! There is way more depth and interest to your collage now. Super job, Christine!xx
ResponderExcluirI don't remember the 'old' version this one is perfect. Imagine having to swim in those costumes! Hee hee.
ResponderExcluirOh Christine this vintage, quirky and humourous. I've got a huge smile since I've seen this fabulous piece. So very good
ResponderExcluirI love the subtle colors on this wonderful piece, Chris. I don't know what you did with it before, but it would be hard to top this interpretation! Thanks for sharing.
ResponderExcluirWonderful vintage art, Christine. I can't imagine swimming in one of those outfits.
ResponderExcluirVery well done Christine!
ResponderExcluirI love the way you managed the colors between old and modern pictures!
I enjoyed your comment about fighting tedium by drawing people nearby. I was very much aware that the woman suspected I was drawing her even though I was trying very to be discreet.
ResponderExcluirI went back and made the photo larger. It was already set for 300, which usually means that it will enlarge by clicking on it. Don't know what happened. If you have a chance go back and look at the photo and the grades. My art grade is not that good!!!
ResponderExcluirThis is so wonderful with the vintage look. The pale blue radiates from the picture.
ResponderExcluirI loved the first picture, Christine, and I love this one too. The colours are exquisite.
