Hushpuppy's wings

Hello, folks! This week Take a Word asked for wings. Maybe I was inspired by the Oscar, maybe it was this amazing little girl, but it occurred to me that Hushpuppy deserved huge golden wings... The movie has just premiered around here and I haven't seen it yet. But I will!

Fly blackbird

Hi! Take a Word asked for Blackbird. we don't have crows or ravens around here. But we have some black birds, none of them though evokes the dark shadows and stuff like that... 

About my picture, don't ask... Blame my muse!

Red Carnival

Hello, folks! The Three Muses asked for RED and I decided to stick to Carnival.

The photos were taken in the parade of samba schools in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday and Monday. I cut them out and put together, altering slightely the colors and contrast. Then I applied a filter to warm things up a bit.

Except by the lady's photo, the others by Rodrigo Gorosito.

Take a Piece

The theme is BIRTHDAY in Quotography. I took this photo in my daughter's birthday party several years ago. I added a bokeh texture by Shadowhouse Creations.

Blue Carnival

Carnaval Azul

Inspired by the Mardi Gras the theme is MASKS in Take a Word. It's carnival around here,  four days entirely devoted to revelry. I'd rather stay home and rest, but I think it's a wonderful festivity.

For this collage, I used three  journalistic photos of last year carnival. I overlayed them and applyed filters in the last layer. The girl was a model and nowadays's TV presenter. Her name is Ana Hickmann.

Inspirado no Mardi Gras o tema  é Máscaras em Take a Word  É carnaval por aqui, quatro dias inteiramente dedicados à folia. Eu prefiro ficar em casa e descansar, mas eu acho que é uma festa maravilhosa.

Para esta colagem, usei três fotos jornalísticas de carnaval do ano passado. Eu as sobrepus e apliquei filtros na última camada. 

Choosing between light and dark

Todos temos luz e trevas dentro de nós. 

O que nos define é o lado com o qual escolhemos agir.

Isso é o que realmente somos. 

The theme in Quotography is our choice and I'm featuring a quote I like very much by J.K. Rowling in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Me and my kids have read the entire collection together, then we've seen the movies together. Today, a few years later, we remember fondly this adventure we had together.

O tema em Quotography é de nossa escolha e eu escolhi uma citação que eu gosto muito de JK Rowling em Harry Potter e o Prisioneiro de Azkaban. Eu e meus filhos lemos a coleção inteira juntos, depois nós vimos os filmes juntos. Hoje, vários anos depois, recordamos com carinho desta aventura que tivemos juntos.

 These two little guys are so cute I couldn't help it but make a card featuring them.
