This week at Take a Word the theme is MOSTLY BLACK AND WHITE.
This is a very old, worn and dirty family photo I found at my ant's. A don't even know who they are. What caught my eye was the man's relaxed and confident attitude.
Went to the fortune teller / Had my fortune read / I didn't know what to tell her / I had a dizzy feeling in my head / When she took a look at my palm / She said son are you feeling kinda warm? (Fortune Teller - written by Allen Toussaint and recorded by The Rolling Stones)
This week's challenge is hands at Three Muses.
I used elements from Tumblefish Studio, Beth Rimmer and my own stuff.
This week the theme at Take a Word is OLD FASHIONED. I have chosen the 1900s. Besides, feathered hats and real fur are really old fashioned these days. Geneviéve Lantelme - photographed for Les Modes, January 1910 issue - looks gorgeous though. I edited, cut and colored Geneviéve's photo (found here); background: Holliewood Studio; texture/overlay: Paree and Buzillo Stock.
This week at Take a Word the theme is VALENTINE and while I was trying to figure out what to do I started to wonder about this travel called life and the individuals that accompany us through it, not only partners, but family, friends and spirituality. I hope you have good company in this journey. Thanks to Tumblefish Studios, Rucola Designs and Holliewood Studio.
This week at Take a Word the theme is MALE. I had this photo for a while and I find it a bit intriguing as he is almost smiling, and they didn't smile back then, and he had earrings. I decide to provide a new outfit to him to match his wild spirit. Man (cropped and colored): Resurgere (dA); background and other elements: MC Designs.
This week at Take a Word the theme is PURPLE. I'm also submitting this to Digitalmania. I edited, cut and colored the photo of the girl. I made the background by mixing photos and papers. Elements by Studio Manu and Angie Young.
This week at Take a Word the theme word is FRUIT and I decided to introduce you to Lord and Lady Pinanapple. They are a little bit eccentric but nobody cares as they are also absurdly rich! Couple: Hidden Vintage; their new wardrobe is my courtesy.
This week at Take a Word the theme is VINTAGE FASHION. The 1920s is one of my favorite fashion eras. To depict it I chose Lee Miller who in the following decades did much more than modelling for Vogue.
This week, at Take a Word, the theme is SPRING EQUINOX. At Digitalmania the challenge is to choose a vintage photograph (or painting) and place it in an entirely new background. I combined both.
The photo (cutout, colored and altered) is on a family album, but I have no idea who she is. Background and elements by Createwing Designs.
This week Take a Word theme is PREDOMINANTLY PURPLE. Girl: Colleen Moore colored by me; texture: frozenstocks; fog: Finecrafted Designs; lyrics: Purple Haze by Jimmy Hendrix.
This is my contribution to Take a Word which theme this week is GREEN AND RED. I wish you all a Happy Christmas. Background by Crowabout Studio; girl: vintage photo colored and dressed by me; texture: Kim Klassen.
This week at Take a Word the challenge is to celebrate the world of nature. I don't know this flower's name. What I do know is that the hummingbirds love it. Maybe fairies love it too... Background: my photo; fairy (cutout and colored): Graphics Fairy; texture: Elné.
This week The Three Muses challenge is to take inspiration from a favourite ARTIST or ARTISTIC STYLE. My artist of choice was Grete Stern, German photographer, nationalized Argentine, especially her photomontage series on dreams for a women's magazine column titled “Psychoanalysis will help you”, from 1948 to 1951. Background (altered): Pareerica; cage: Mr. Whiskers; girl: Doctor Macro.
Take a Word asked for HOT COLORS. I found the photo below in my aunt's album. I have no idea who she is or when it was taken. It doesn't matter, she looked so sweet! In her new outfit she also looks hot, that's why I called her Paprika.
