This week the theme word at TAW is FLY. It occurred to me that there must be a moment when a woman thinks she is old enough to fly whenever she wants, fly meaning whatever she wants.

Life begins at the end of my coffee cup

This  week the challenge at The Three Muses is QUIRKY ME. Here it is my attempt. 

I'm not really a good company early in the morning, don't ask me to take decisions, laugh at silly jokes or sing. Not before 10 AM. After that and a good cup of coffee I can start thinking... and smiling!

The Three Muses asked for MALE OF THE SPECIES and I decided to give a better life to an old photo of my uncle José Marques. You can see the original photo below.

Lilian and Vera

Take a Word asked for MOTHER AND CHILD and I decided to pay a tribute to these beautiful mother and child: Lilian and Vera Trotter. They died on the night of March 3, 1943, in the Bethnal Green Tube tragedy. I've read about it a few years ago and this photograph made it even more poignant.

See below one of my shots of Lençóis Maranhenses which consists of large, white, sweeping dunes and freshwater lakes formed by rainfall that are seasonal. There is almost no vegetation.
