Hi there! The challenge this week in Take a Word is Hats'n'Things and it made me want to use steampunk hats in my collage. When I was wondering who would have the privilege of wearing them, I don't know why but I thought in Hitchcock's icy blondes  and which actresses could replace Grace Kelly, Eve Marie Saint, Tippi Hedren, Kim Novak etc nowadays. These are my actresses of choice in their marvelous hats. Sorry for the lack of "things".

Living a steampunk life

Steampunk fashionistas, Lauryn and Guillaume (Brit Lauryn has always had  a weakness for French men), has just arrived from a travel to Moscow and are already planning a trip to Prague, always in their zeppelin.

Hi! The Three Muses challenged us to do some art using DOORWAYS. Here is mine, a steampunk queen very charming.

I did the queen combining pieces and parts of fashion runways photos. She's très chic and wears a Valentino skirt and an Alexander Mcqueen (by Sarah Burton) top. Doorway by General Vyse (deviantArt); Crows by Shoofly Stock (deviantArt); Overlays by Buzillo Stock (deviantArt).

About books

Some say that many English speakers don't like Jules Verne because of the quality of some translations of his books. I don't know, if so, it is a pity. This week the challenge at Three Muses is the written word, I decided then to bring an inspiring quote from Steampunk's father I consider appropriate for the theme. Hope you like it.
