The charmer

This week at Take a Word the theme is MOSTLY BLACK AND WHITE.

This is a very old, worn and dirty family photo I found at my ant's. A don't even know who they are. What caught my eye was the man's relaxed and confident attitude.

Women in Red

Fashion Illustration - 1920s to 1980s

This week at Take a Word the theme is A SPLASH OF RED. It took me ages to find, cut and edit all these girls. Background is mine.

Isn't it amazing to observe how fashion changed throughout time? I think our time is the best when it takes to clothes because finally we can wear whatever we want.

Geneviéve

This week the theme at Take a Word is OLD FASHIONED. I have chosen the 1900s. Besides, feathered hats and real fur are really old fashioned these days. Geneviéve Lantelme - photographed for Les Modes, January 1910 issue - looks gorgeous though.

I edited, cut and colored Geneviéve's photo (found here); background: Holliewood Studio; texture/overlay: Paree and Buzillo Stock.

together

This week at Take a Word the theme is VALENTINE and while I was trying to figure out what to do I started to wonder about this travel called life and the individuals that accompany us through it, not only partners, but family, friends and spirituality. I hope you have good company in this journey.

Thanks to Tumblefish Studios, Rucola Designs and Holliewood Studio.

A fine man

This week at Take a Word the theme is MALE. I had this photo for a while and I find it a bit intriguing as he is almost smiling, and they didn't smile back then, and he had earrings. I decide to provide a new outfit to him to match his wild spirit.

Man (cropped and colored): Resurgere (dA); background and other elements: MC Designs.

etch in light

intellectus means "light of the mind"
it is not discourse it is not even language
the inner sun
"Rant" - Diane di Prima

This week at Take a Word the theme is LIGHTS.

I did this by combining several photos I took at the last Bienal de São Paulo (a biennial art exhibition).

you have a poetics: you step into the world
like a suit of readymade clothes

or you etch in light
your firmament spills into the shape of your room
the shape of the poem, of yr body, of yr loves
