Hi! Our Three Muses proposed WORDS as this week challenge. This is my small contribution.
I reclycled a drawing I did for Digitalmania by changing background, elements and colors in order to fit this week theme at Take a Word: BUTTERFLIES.
Next Sunday, June 4, 1967, will be published fashion editorial in the newspaper Nightly Comet bringing the latest trends for summer. By the way, it's amazing the size of the skirts the girls wear today. Judging by them, in the year 2000 people will be walking naked through the streets!
As a teenager I used to admire her beauty and vitality. Time passed, I almost forgot about her. Then, she had to face her illness and the way she fought it, her humanity, fragility and sincerity made me fall in love with her again. That's why I took her example to remind me (us) that time flies, life is short and the best we do is enjoy each day (without betraying ourselves).
Claudionor Viana Teles Velloso, or Dona Canô, is a 103-year-old beloved lady and mother of the famous Brazilian artists Caetano Veloso e Maria Bethânia. She's so charismatic that became a personality by herself and not only for being their mother.
At the beginning we were drived or we lended glamour by posing beside them. But that became old-fashioned and we finally conquered the right of being behind wheels. Nowadays we can even choose not to drive, after all we have a whole bunch of more ecological choices, like the old bike or the new segway...
Marion loves hats, but as good Libra, have a tough time choosing them. Right now, her problem is to choose one for a costume party. Yes! She first chooses the hat and then the clothes that fit them. If you were her, which hat would you choose?
