Take a Word theme for this week is SILHOUETTES and this is my contribution. I'm also entering a photo I took recently on my vacation in Santiago de Chile.
This week, at Take a Word, the theme is SPRING EQUINOX. At Digitalmania the challenge is to choose a vintage photograph (or painting) and place it in an entirely new background. I combined both.
The photo (cutout, colored and altered) is on a family album, but I have no idea who she is. Background and elements by Createwing Designs.
This week Take a Word theme is PREDOMINANTLY PURPLE. Girl: Colleen Moore colored by me; texture: frozenstocks; fog: Finecrafted Designs; lyrics: Purple Haze by Jimmy Hendrix.
This week the theme at the Muses is GO FISH. This is also my entry for Digitalmania which is inspired by Kanchan Mahon this week. Lady by Waterhouse; background is a photo of mine covered by pieces and bits of several quilts googled.
The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.
Pablo Picasso
At Take a Word the theme this week is ART and I decided to play a little bit and also pay homage to artists I like. The background is Paul Signac's "Le Chateau de Comblat", Girls are from a Louis Vuitton catwalk. I replaced the black parts of their clothes by patterns from Gustav Klimt's paitings The Apple Tree and Tannenwald. The girl on the right wears a collar a borrow from Judith and the girl on the left has now Mäda Primavesi face. Finally lots of filters and a Kim Klassen texture.
This week at Take a Word the challenge theme is BEAUTY. This is my attempt.
I photographed the kids last year at a wedding party. Before the adults took over the dance floor, children enjoyed it a lot! Background/overlay: Pareeerica; illustration at the background: Dover.
